Berkshire Jazz Underground (BJU) has a classic sound of 1960’s vibrant and challenging Blue Note recordings.  The group consists of a core rhythm section of guitar, bass, and drums but horns can also be added.  BJU weaves a fabric of traditional jazz and small group swing with Latin, funk, soul, blues, rhythm and blues and gospel from great and underrated composers along with creative arrangements of classics.
